Lets Move Things Outdoors with a Pavilion Paver Patio!

I've created a lattice top pergola set on 6 4x6 posts.  Also i've set up a poured concrete border to keep the pavers stationary and prevent loss of rock/sand.  A lattice wall on the street side will provide some privacy once some vines and other plants grow around the structure.

Pavers are staggered in a brick-like pattern working from one side to the other.  I've got my favorite helper working with me!  Don't forget to use a crushed limestone base and compact it in first.  A layer of sand allows you to keep the pavers level.  I used a dead blow mallet to level out the pavers as i went along.

The final product turned out gorgeous and with minimal paver cutting.  Time for plants and furniture!

Kids Bathroom Remodel

The kids are growing up, and it was time to move on from the "under the sea" theme to something a bit more suited to their ages.  Introducing the tween to teen bathroom:

Browns, coppers and beige accented with brushed nickel and white trim.  A great mixture of colors and textures...

Built in shelving for their various toiletries...

Clean white trim, vanity and mirror give the room a nice finish...

Another set of built-in shelves for pictures, decorations, more toiletries...

The mosaic tiles add interest, and the mix of colors are pleasing to the eye.  Although we're sad to see them grow up, we were pretty glad to say goodbye to the aqua walls and the fish shower curtain :)

It was no "SMALL" job :)

Here are a few pics of the recent bathroom remodel i did for Jim and Erin Small.

"Before"

 "After"
A new tile design and upgraded faucets sets makes this space more inviting.

Wish i'd got a shot of the old vanity... but we cleared that thing out of there.  After moving some plumbing and adding tile to the floor to level up, we get set up to do...........

This beautiful new dark oak vanity with solid surface countertop and sinks.  Decorative mirrors replace the large one piece unbordered mirror ( we've all seen them)

The old one piece shower insert was taken out and replaced with tile from floor to ceiling.  We continued the design similar to that of the tub.

Everything turned out great!  Another success for Vista Tile and Remodel.

BASEMENT COMPLETE!!

Some pics of the finished product.  I'll post another blog with some of the older pics that i forgot to post soon.

Some pics of the main living area, double french doors lead to large storage area.

The craftroom is a big hit.  Built in shelving and bracketed countertops maximizes utility space.

Full bath in the basement will make it nice for visitors and friends.

The guitar collection is now on display.

It was a pleasure finishing this basement.  Enjoyed turning a bare concrete slab into a livable usable space.

Framing at the Dilbeck's

The plan is intact, the work has begun:  these are a few of the framing pics to far.
Soon to be Sandra's new craftroom.

Framing around ductwork is always fun.

Pocket doors slide nicely into the wall to save room.

Soon to be Charlie's music room.  Let the creativity begin.
More to come.  Electrical and Drywall.
